We’re brewing change. If baristas strike, skip Starbucks.
Finalizing a fair contract would cost less than 1 day of sales
Union Starbucks baristas have overwhelmingly authorized an unfair labor practice strike. If Starbucks fails to finalize a fair contract and end its union-busting campaign, baristas in dozens of cities will launch unfair labor practice strikes starting Thursday, November 13th - grinding Starbucks to a halt during the company’s busiest sales day of the year.

Unionized baristas are asking allies and customers to skip Starbucks if we have to strike because when workers act with the support of their communities, we can take back power from billionaires and CEOs. Starbucks Workers United is a bright spot in a bleak landscape: 12,000+ baristas—young, queer, and workers of color among them—are organizing for a fair contract with higher pay, better staffing and hours, and an end to union busting. This isn’t just about coffee: it’s about whether big corporations can crush an organizing wave or whether working people reclaim our power. These baristas are taking real risks and showing the country what hope looks like. Stand with them.
